Please note that the team lists as well as the preview for the National Under 21 Tournament, that commences in Johor Baru at the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium, will be made available this evening upon the completion of the Team Managers Meeting scheduled for 5pm today.
One interesting factor is that several ex-internationals will be involved in coaching teams. The two that we are aware off are Chua Boon Huat for Malacca and Chairil Anwar Abdul Aziz for Johor. Then there is also K. Enbaraj who is handling the Kuala Lumpur squad.
Another interesting factor is that the Under 21 Tournament is being held after a 4 year hiatus, as the last time it was held was in 2007.
From 2008, the MHF decided on a Under 23 event, from the Sukma that year until the 2010 Sukma in Malacca. In between, 2009, a Under 23 Tournament was held in Malacca as well.
